I think of all the decisions we have made over the 4 years that we have worked on Monaghan, our decision to use SIMS has been the best.
The system really works.
The front end of it, particularly the interactive map on the website , is intuitive and extremely user friendly for purchasers and is a fantastic sales tool for marketers. We have received a lot of compliments from users for the simplicity of the layout and for the information it imparts.
Typically, a marketing call to us would see us referring the buyer to the website before meeting them on Monaghan. They tended to arrive educated and exited to translate their virtual pre-knowledge into a thorough investigation of the land. Thus one was reinforcing information rather than explaining something from scratch.
The price search capabilities of the interactive map are particularly useful.
We resolved to sell the property ourselves but the obvious benefit of the SIMS system is that it allows multiple agents to sell the same property without tripping over one another.
The functionality of the front end pales into insignificance though when compared with that of the back end. Here is where the system really kicks in. Sales are tracked from signature to transfer and allow agents, developer, the bank, the transferring attorneys to access the sale and to interact with one another. Our bank Nedbank sits in Cape Town, but they are able to easily verify sales using the document download facility. We can generate snapshots of the development through a wide range of summary reports that can be specifically defined with Red I as per ones needs.
A huge amount of effort is saved by auto notification to the purchasers at various pre determined landmarks.
Working with Werner’s crew to design the website was a great pleasure. Our marketing look and feel was quickly interpreted by Sean and others into a neat and all encompassing web based marketing tool.
We look forward to working with Red-i to change the emphasis of the site to a functional tool for inter- estate communication and a resale’s bulletin board.
I have run out of superlatives, but suffice it to say that we liked the company so much we tried to buy it.
Thanks guys
Prospero Bailey
